Adopting a Pet Turtle
- If you would like to adopt a turtle, please read our Adoption Policies, then fill out and submit an Adoption Application Form (scroll down).
- Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an interview.
- Please contact us if you have any questions.
Adoption Policies
- Applicants must be at least 19 years of age.
- Applicants must be residents of British Columbia.
- Okanagan residents may take priority in our program.
- When you adopt a turtle from us, you become the new owner of that turtle and Okanagan Turtle Adoption Program is no longer responsible for that turtle in any way.
- There are no returns, refunds or guarantees.
- Pet turtles may carry Salmonella and are not recommended for families with small children or for people with compromised immune systems.
